Turning women into objects?

American Sex Dolls company sells only real women size dolls

Sex dolls are made to praise and respect women

Using sex dolls can encourage men not to have empathy for women

A recent post by From CBC Radio (www.cbc.ca) that you can read below does not make any sense. None. Sex doll brothel turns 'women into objects,' says critic. Who is the critic?

The piece Written by Lisa Ayuso, claims that the sex doll brothel that was slated to open in Toronto dehumanizes women, a critic of the proposed business said. The critic is writer Megan Murphy, who told The Current's guest host, Connie Walker: "This does literally turn women into objects," Murphy is the founder of The Feminist Current, a Canadian website. No wonder...

Murphy goes on saying: "When you turn something, or someone, into an object it becomes much easier to harm that person, or thing, or to treat it as though it doesn't have feelings,". Hm... sex dolls are objects. Like sculptures or iPhones. They do not have the power to harm anyone or dehumanize the whole species. It gets better though.

Murphy says that 'setting up erotic dolls to be sex workers can lead to the normalization of male dominance over women' WTF!? So it is better to have real women do the dirty work? WTF Megan Murphy?

The brothel never opened, was it a stunt we don't know. Sex dolls brothels do exist in Europe. We don't mind. We'd rather see a sex doll than a young enslaved women working there. Any fucking time! In Toronto, city councillor John Filion confirmed with city staff that the business would be in violation of a zoning bylaw and wrote on his Facebook page that the staff confirmed the lease would be cancelled. Okay, no problem. That's fair. However, a similar business called Kinky S. Dolls has been in operation in Toronto, also in the North York area, for more than a year. Well, this is Canada we're talking about after all...

'Doll maker strives for realism' - of course, what else.

Some argue making sex dolls is an art form. We agree. Just like the ancient Greek and Roman statues of Venus and Aphrodite, it simply shows how much respect humans have for the beauty of a naked body and how much in awe we are with the creation of a man and woman. And it proves that man will go to a great length to pay the tribute, especially to women.

As one of the manufactures says in the article: dolls do not objectify women, but rather celebrate the human form with lifelike features such as stretch marks, tan lines and freckles.

In fact, Krivicke argues women objectify men when they use sex toys that resemble the male phallus.

Dolls don't teach men 'healthy things,' says critic - LOL

According to the article, the relentless Megan Murphy doesn't buy this argument because, she says, "masturbation isn't dehumanizing." LOL and LOL. The real issue is the fact these lifelike dolls are given "personalities" and are sold at a brothel as though they are prostitutes, she said.

Seriously, now are lest speechless.... And when she says: "I think that really differentiates these dolls from tools that people might use to masturbate in the privacy of their own homes," it only confirms what we knew already. People who buy sex dolls do not have any ill intentions, they are just regular people in need for physical or emotional contact. And they appreciate the beauty of the form and have lots and lots of respect for both men and women. Sex here is totally irrelevant.

Further down the article says: 'As for the argument that men are relying on the lifelike dolls for companionship, Murphy said it's the same defence people use for prostitution and it obscures what drives men to seek a prostitute for sex.' Which is better than, a doll or a slave? Go find out Megan...

But the next paragraph is even funnier: "The reason that men go to prostitutes is because they want to be in a position of dominance and because they don't want to have to care about the person on the other end of the exchange," Murphy explained. It's the same reason men would go to a sex doll brothel, she said. It seems like Megan Murphy is in the know. She knows everything about men's psyche and sex doll industry in general. The rest is just a joke: "He doesn't want to have to feel empathy toward someone else ... he doesn't want to think about what she needs. He doesn't want to think about if he's hurting her or not," she told Walker.

"I don't think that's healthy. I don't think that teaches men healthy things about sex and sexuality and women." LOL
